Burnaboy is Standing As Tall, Priding Himself As a Pan-African

The African Giant and International Sensation, Burnaboy born Damini Ogulu has released his 5th studio album addressing political and historical subjects and his lost at the 2019 Grammy Award.

The Twice As Tall album was released on Friday, 14th August, 2020 featuring prominent African, American and British talents such as the legendary Hip Hop Group, Naughty by Nature, Stormzy from UK, the Senengal’s musicial icon, Youssou N’Dour, Kenyan sensational music band, Sauti Sol and Chris Martin of Coldplay. And production credits from Leriq, Rexxie, Telz, Jae5, Timberland, Mike Dean, Skread & Andre Harris.

To produce a Pan-African musical album that will have a crossover to the American market and be received across all boards, Burnaboy hired the service of the American Music Executive, Diddy as the Executive Producer. And Did I has proclaimed that the album will be recognized as the “Album of the Year”.

The Twice As Tall album reflects the ingenuity of Burnaboy, his knowledge of Africa’s pre-colonial era as he addresses the damaged the colonial oppression has on Africans on the song, Monster You Made. The album houses modern African music intertwined with traditional melodies. It is an amazing body of work that people of color from different works of life cam relate to. It reflects their struggle, anger and pain and also it is a ray of sun light promising freedom.

The two-time winner of the BET  Award for International Act and a Grammy Nominee is the poster boy for African pop music. He is determined to project African pop music as a beauty the world needs to behold and prodigious canticle that is worthy of hearing.

With the excellent execution of the Twice As Tall album and the gracefulness of the songs, it will not be a surprise if Burnaboy wins a Grammy. He deserves it.
