The Former President of the U.S, Barack Obama has revealed the songs on his 2020 Summer Playlist to the admiration of many. He shared his annual summer playlist on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

The 53 track list featured Nigerian Afropop singers: Burnaboy, Wizkid, Davido and also starred American A-list artistes: Billie Eilish (“my future”), Leon Bridges (“Texas Sun” with Khruangbin), The Chicks (“Gaslighter”), Common (“Forever Begins”) , John Legend (“Don’t Walk Away” with Koffee) and Billy Porter (“For What It’s Worth”), that will be performing this week at the Democratic National Convention which kick offs Monday. August 17 to Thursday, August 20 in preparation for the U.S Presidential in November 3 in support of Democratic Presidential candidate, Vice President Joe Biden and his VP pick, Sen. Kamala Harris.

On Monday, August, 17, he wrote on his social media:

“Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer –– including songs from some of the artists performing at this week’s @DemConvention.”

“As always, it’s a mix of genres that travels through various eras. I think there’s something in here for everybody––hope you enjoy it.”

The playlist also includes Rihanna and Drake‘s 2016 track “Work;” Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé‘s “Savage” remix, Mac Miller‘s “Blue World”, Anderson. Paak‘s “Lockdown” Beyoncé, Shatta Wale, Major Lazer’s “Already”, to Jorja Smith and Burna Boy‘s “Be Honest“, Khalid, Disclosure, Davido and Tems‘ “Know Your Worth” remix, and Wizkid and H.E.R.’s joint “Smile”.
