Ibukun Awosika

Ibukun Awosika, the current serving Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria made her acting debut in the forthcoming movie, ‘Citation’ produced by the very revered Nigerian movie producer, Kunle Afolayan.

The First Bank’s chairman is starring as the dean of a university faculty, a very important role in the movie as she oversees a panel saddled with the responsibility to look into a sexual harassment  and rape case of the a female postgraduate student (Moremi), played by Temi Otedola as the victim.

Detailing the public about the acting debut of Ibukun Awosika, the movie producer Kunle Afolayan via an Instagram post wrote It all began in 2018 with the pre-production of Citation, then the production in January 2020, and now the 30th of August, we officially had the first private screening of Citation at Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU). Why OAU? Well, not only was Citation shot at the University, but our surprise cast is an alumna of the school.

The production of the movie, Citation started in January, 2020. Citation is a university drama that chronicles the tale of a post-graduate student that suffered sexual harassment from a male lecturer, written by Tunde Babalola. The movie was predominately shot at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) starring a Haitian-born Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean Louisand amazing Nigerian actors likeSadiq DabaGabriel Afolayan, The Okan twins, Ini Edo, Lola Maja, Temi Otedola.
